Vintage Va-Va-Voom!

As if proof were required that some things just get better with age, enter the divine, inaugural collection of make-up purses from Fabulous Fripperies.

Fabulous Fripperies create glorious, hand-made products in London and their main proviso is that all the fabric they use is either vintage or high-end designer and at times it is both.

This collection comprises of six styles, and only five of each have been made. The fabric includes vintage Laura Ashley which is over 35 years old and a Warner & Sons fabric which dates to the 1950's! This treasure trove of fabric has been lovingly stored so is as vibrant as the day it was printed. What better way to celebrate this wonderful heritage than getting to see it every day!

The make-up purses will be available on the SoS15 stall at the Beckenham Crafty Christmas Market, and at this time are not available anywhere else!! Orderly queue please, ladies.

Love London, Love Penge

Love where you live? Then what better way to express this than having a cool cushion, one that proudly shouts your postcode!

Area code cushions are one of Miss SoS's creations and are available in various locations throughout south London. Most recently she made a delivery to the wonderful Alexandra Nurseries in Penge, SE20 - http://www.alexandranurseries.co.uk

Nestled in the conservation area of the Alexandra cottages, this wonderful oasis is a fusion of nature, vintage and a marvellous cafe selling amazing coffee and delicious home-baked cakes. The coffee alone is reason enough to visit if you have yet to check it out.

Miss SoS is soon to launch a dedicated e-commerce site where you will be able to order your own Area code cushions, which are entirely hand cut and hand made. Each one is unique and made in Miss SoS's studio. However, if you can't wait that long then get in touch with Miss SoS and she will endeavour to make one that fits your requirements.

So how has the new year been treating you so far? Very well I hope.

Although the start to the year has been a little wet around the edges, it's proving to be a promising time as far as the Teapot is concerned. We have our (chocolate) fingers in quite a few pies and as the year develops we're confident that our creative partnerships will flourish and thrive.

We're planning more Hidden Teapot events and workshops and as always our creative collaborations with local artisans and organisations are at the forefront of our plans. If you would like to get involved with the Teapot or have an idea you would like to share do get in touch with Miss SoS.
